The PHILIPPINE SOCIETY OF PALLIATIVE AND HOSPICE CARE NURSES (PSPHCN) INC. was established to promote, advocate, and maintain quality standards of Palliative and Hospice Nursing in the country. The society aims to lead and collaborate in addressing the specific needs of patients requiring palliative care and to promote the practice of palliative and hospice nursing in the Philippines.

The PSPHCN Inc. emblem features two figures embraced within a heart symbol, representing the compassionate relationship between nurse and patient. A nurse’s cap rests above them, signifying professional care. The laurel leaves symbolize our core values—Love, Care, and Compassion. The colors purple and green embody empathy, healing, and life—capturing PSPHCN’s steadfast commitment to its values.

We, the nurses of the Philippines, recognizing the inherent dignity of every human being and the right to quality palliative and hospice care, united under the banner of the Philippine Society of Palliative and Hospice Care Nurses, Inc., in order to promote excellence in palliative and hospice nursing practice, advocate for patient and family-centred care, and contribute to the advancement of palliative and hospice care in the Philippines.
