Rooted in Love,

Care, and Compassion

Welcome to the

Philippine Society of Palliative and Hospice Care Nurses

We are a community of Filipino nurses from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao dedicated to providing compassionate, dignified care for patients facing serious illness. Guided by the principle of Kaginhawahan (Martinez, 2024), we aspire for every person to “breathe with ease” in comfort, peace, and relational harmony by advancing palliative and hospice nursing through education, advocacy, and collaboration.

Rooted in our core values of Love, Care, and Compassion, we strive to ensure that every patient and family receives supportive, culturally attuned, and person-centered care. By embracing Kaginhawahan, we honor our shared humanity (Kapwa) and uphold our mission to help Filipinos live meaningfully, even in the most challenging moments.

Kaginhawahan also embodies paghilom—a healing that restores the person, not just the condition. This is the essence of our calling: to accompany our Kapwa toward comfort, dignity, and meaningful living.
