Ruth is a testament to the power of motive in action, combining the heart of a dedicated nurse with the strategic discipline of a Master in Management (MM). An educator and leader, she holds master's degrees from UP Manila and UP Baguio and served as the National President of the Philippine Nurses Association in 2017. Yet, her most profound impact lies in her decades of community work—from UNICEF projects to serving Indigenous groups across the Philippines, from the remote communities of the Cordilleras to the halls of national leadership. Her motive has always been to touch lives.

Today, that passion finds a new home in her advocacy for Palliative and Hospice Care in Baguio. Driven by the belief that dignity should not end when a cure is no longer possible, her goal is to empower the community—training nurses to lead and families to care—ensuring that compassion remains the cornerstone of health service. A nurse by heart and a community worker by passion, Ruth stands firm on the sanctity of life, believing that regardless of prognosis, every human being deserves to be treated with compassion and dignity until the very end.
