Romeo "Romi" Valdemoro Marcaida is currently the Operations Manager of the Philippine Cancer Society and a member of the PCS Executive Action Team. Mr. Marcaida is also the head of the PCS Cancer Screening Program - Mobile Clinic. He has led the pioneering Patient Navigation Program of the Society since 2011, which helped navigate patient care from diagnosis through survivorship and/or hospice care. He presently conducts training of Patient Navigators for DOH, public/private hospitals, and LGUs. A certified End of Life Nursing Consortium (ELNEC) trainer, he served as a resource speaker in several ELNEC trainings for nurses.

He is the President of the Philippine Society of Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses, Inc. Currently, he is a board member of Hospice Philippines.

An ardent patient advocate, he founded the PGH cancer support group KABOOBS, composed of breast cancer survivors. He presently serves as an adviser for various cancer support groups in Metro Manila.

He is a co-founder of Cancer Coalition Philippines (CCPh). The CCPh initiated, created, and lobbied for the passing of the National Integrated Cancer Control Act of 2019. This landmark law provided access and budget for medicines, programs, and services for cancer patients. He was also a member of the Philippine Health Research Ethics Board of DOST-PCHRD.

He completed his undergraduate studies (BS Nursing) at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and master's studies (MA in Health Policy) at the University of the Philippines- Manila.
