Nurse Daniel is a national trailblazer and ardent advocate transforming the landscape of palliative and hospice care in the Philippines. Fueled by specialized training from experts at the University of the Philippines–Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH), he did not just practice palliative care—he pioneered its accessibility.

In 2010, Dr. Garcia launched Metro Manila's first Palliative and Home Care Team, establishing a model for holistic, compassionate, and dignity-centered care for private patients. As a certified ELNEC (End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium) Trainer, he actively collaborated with key institutions such as the National Center for Geriatric Health, The Ruth Foundation, Southern Philippines Medical Center, Manila Doctors Hospital, Bicol Medical Center, and San Lazaro Hospital to integrate and expand palliative nursing education across the country. He also co-developed the nation's first Nurse Certification Program for Gerontology and Geriatric Nursing, ensuring palliative principles are integrated into practice. His transformative educational impact was recognized with the prestigious ELNEC Award of Excellence in 2014.

His relentless advocacy continues today as CEO of Belteshazzar Home Health Services, a nurse-owned program that expands hospice and home care services to underserved regions across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, ensuring that more patients receive the compassionate, high-quality care they deserve at every stage of life.
