Claire is a dedicated educator and palliative care nurse specialist at Assisi Hospice, Singapore, recognized with the Healthcare Humanity Award, acknowledging healthcare professionals who have shown extraordinary courage, dedication, and selflessness in serving the sick, and the Community Care Excellence Award (Individual Category, Silver), awarded by the Agency for Integrated Care to individuals who demonstrate outstanding contributions to the community care sector.

With more than a decade of clinical experience and holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education and a Specialist Diploma in Palliative Care Nursing, Claire is empowered to strategically design, conduct, and evaluate training programs for novice home care nurses, ensuring the next generation is equipped with evidence-based practices and the highest standards of care. She provides clinical supervision for local and international nurses and doctors, coordinates training for home care rotating doctors, and contributes through speaking engagements to the Lien Centre of Palliative Care/Duke-NUS Medical School and events in the Philippines, including the Philippine Society of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and UP-PGH, on topics like hospice nursing requirements and resilience.

Claire's deep commitment to advancing care standards and building capacity extends to the Philippines, continuing her profound impact and advocacy there. Currently, one of the faculty members of the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network for the Philippines Palliative Care Programme, working on strengthening the national faculty and developing leaders who can bring palliative care training, mentorship, and capacity building to regions and communities across the country.
